Secure Digital Art Storage and Display for Artists and Galleries

A New Era for Digital Art

Exhibi.Tech empowers digital artists, dealers, and gallery operators to integrate digital art into the traditional gallery model with true exclusivity, security, and provenance. Unlike NFTs, which are plagued by volatility and lack of true scarcity, Exhibi.Tech ensures digital artworks are unique, securely stored, and seamlessly transferable, mirroring the authenticity and ownership of physical art.

How Exhibi.Tech Works

Exhibi.Tech converts digital artworks into raw RGB pixel data, encrypted with AES-256 using a unique Image Key. This key is encrypted with the owner's public key (RSA or ECC) and stored in a secure database alongside metadata (e.g., resolution, artist, title). The artwork is displayed on a dedicated picture frame powered by a single-board computer (SBC) with a single button for operation. The frame connects via a Wi-Fi hotspot (hidden SSID, WPA3 encryption) to a closed LTE network (eSIM, EIN-locked for tamper resistance), ensuring secure data transfer.

The frame decrypts the data locally using the owner's private key, renders it, and wipes it from memory after use, guaranteeing no persistent copies. Ownership transfers are managed via a web interface, re-encrypting the Image Key for the new owner's public key. Exclusivity is enforced through an escrow system: during transfers, the server confirms the current owner's frames have released the artwork (via a button press, clearing the display and memory), then deletes or escrows the data, ensuring it exists only on the new owner's frame.

Exhibi.Tech vs. NFTs

Aspect Exhibi.Tech NFTs
Ownership & Exclusivity Encrypted data tied to a private key; escrow ensures one copy exists at a time, verified by secure deletion. Blockchain token proves ownership, but files are easily copied, undermining exclusivity.
Security AES-256 encryption, closed LTE network (eSIM, EIN lock), private key in secure enclave. No public exposure. Blockchain is tamper-resistant, but marketplaces and wallets are hack-prone; public transactions reduce privacy.
Display Physical frames with one-button operation render art locally, wiped after use, for a gallery-like experience. Often online or virtual; no inherent exclusivity, as copies proliferate.
Cost Low operational costs; no blockchain fees. High minting/trading fees; market volatility (e.g., 24% trading volume drop in Q1 2025).
Environmental Impact Minimal server-based system. High energy use from blockchain mining, criticized for environmental impact.
Provenance Secure database tracks ownership, artist royalties, and metadata, aligning with gallery standards. Blockchain tracks token ownership, but file authenticity is often questioned due to plagiarism risks.
